Pianissimo
ceramic, mixed
approximately 10' diameter for installation
2006

Pianissimo presents a statement about the loss of voice and loss of civil rights that seems to have happened in this country. The installation combines ceramic, concrete and steel. It includes nine large heads and one large book, each made of ceramic and intricately carved and drawn upon. The ceramic forms are supported by steel rod and concrete bases. The grouping of heads is surrounded by a rusted chain supported by rusted steel stanchions. This installation was created in 2006.
